New York Fashion Week: Live Runway

Despite the fact that I moved from the bustling city of New York a month ago, I can still enjoy Fashion Week the exact same way I enjoyed it there, by watching Live Runway on YouTube. Today was the kickoff of Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week for the designers’ Spring 2013 collections. From my beach shack in San Diego I was able to tune in and watch the runways live at You can even see what the attendees are wearing in the audience!

Furthermore, you can join in the conversation. You’ll see in the image below that my tweet (CaligirlSP) was scrolling on the YouTube page.

Anyway, just a little tip for the “rest of us.” I absolutely loved the Tadashi Shoji collection. The fabrics were stunning and the print design had a great way of being both bohemian and elegant simultaneously. I was also trying to search who designed the lovely extended gold hoop earrings the models were wearing but haven’t had luck. BCBG MaxAzria was, as usual, a collection that many women will enjoy. It combined both feminine lace with masculine leather. I also enjoyed the pastels at Richard Chai, but the peep-toe/bootie/wedge shoes the female models were wearing were rather horrendous. Overall, various shades of blue appear to be on trend for Spring 2013. The cerulean blue in the Tadashi Shoji dress at the top of this post is FANTASTIC!

Looking forward to more Live Runway tomorrow! Below are some highlights I snatched!

Is anyone heading to Fashions Night Out in your respective cities tonight?
